SORRY

I don’t know why I never saw
The anger that raged in his eyes
That burst like fire
As he expressed the hurt he had inside.

I don’t know why I never felt
The heaviness of his hands
As it slowly killed her
And had you to pay the price.

I don’t know how come
I was so insensitive
I thought I should let go
To make things alright.

I don’t know how to take away
The pain that you endured
I know in your heart
Your innocence did you no harm.

I am so sorry for not seeing it
I could have done something
I would have never said
“goodbye my little darling”.
